About Me

imageWelcome to Aurora Massage & Body Works.  My name is Aurora Lamperetta and I am a certified Massage Therapist with New York State licensure and clinical training. I am a graduate of the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in Albany, New York and a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

In becoming a massage therapist my vision was to provide a comfortable environment where each individual client could be fully present with the body, the breath, emotions and spirit. In achieving this state of consciousness, a foundation for awareness could be built between the inner workings of the muscles and their connection to a person’s emotional wellbeing. Each massage that I give is customized to address the individual’s needs, creating an opportunity to allow the natural rhythm of healing to flow in a way that is unique to each client.

To address these needs, I employ a variety of massage techniques including, Swedish, deep tissue, aromatherapy, Shiatsu, hot stone and sports massage. With sports massage, four types of methods are used: pre-event, post event, restorative/training, and rehabilitative.  Sports massage is something that I understand fully and recommend for athletes in any level of training or competition.

As a life long runner and triathlete, I understand that massage is very often overlooked, but essential in athletic performance, as it relieves muscle soreness, speeds the removal of metabolic waste and reduces recovery times between workout and maximizes physical training.

Whatever your massage needs, I will make sure that you leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and relaxed!
